As someone who would rather have wet saddle blankets and wet brushes, I spend an inordinate amount of time on the computer instead. Most of the painting gets done from October - March when it's too cold and wet here in upstate NY to do much of anything outdoors. Even then, the smell of shavings and hay cause me to bundle up and venture out to visit frequently. I went to school for art, a popular choice in my family, and made my way eventually to marketing, which fits nicely with my type-A personality. It seemed natural to marry the creative and equine parts of my life into Red Horse Design. And, in case you were wondering the "red horse" in the logo is my semi-retired TB, who could probably thrive on peppermints alone if he were allowed.
